An ode to a Teacher
Not a disciplinarian, but she always referred to the class hooligans as rickshaw pullers :)
She loved to be funny, but the look on her face was ever serious.
She was our class teacher for 2 continuous years, that too at the crucial juncture when we moved from primary school to middle school!
She taught us Math, and laid the foundation for my eventual love for the subject... it's another matter that in her exam, I once wrote 50 squared = 250 :P
She is my aunt too, and that's the main reason I was always extra cautious in school... anything I did was reported to her, and eventually Mom got to hear about it :)
She retired last year, but my eternal dilemma persisted... whether to refer to her as "Teacher" or "Maami" at home :D
She has been very sick of late, but I didn't realize how sick till the moment I went to Raipur last month and saw her... it was heart wrenching.
Last night, Dad and Mom called from the hospital to say that one by one all her organs are failing...
I never admitted it, but she was one of my favorite teachers at school. Love you, Sundaram teacher!

Eggjams!
Two weeks ago, I had decided to study and be well prepared for the exams... The next thing I did was to procrastinate.
And voila! The exams are here!
Back to last minute studies, regretting losing sleep and not having studied worthwhile subjects in advance.
They say life moves in circles... mine certainly does!

Quizzers ahoy!
It's the time of the year when colleges across the nation have their annual festivals. What I like about these fests are the plethora of online events!
Formed a great team of treasure seekers with Chinmaya of KJSOM. Won the SJMSOM Treasure Hunt, participated in Klueless (yet to make it to the Hall of Fame), finished NITIE's Mastishk, and now awaiting XIMB's Parikrama!
As for the quizzes, thanks to dare2compete.com we spend at least 3 nights a week answering quizzes! One of the reasons I like dare2compete :D
Today history was made when 11 of us gathered in Malay's room for cracking IIMA's Inquizitive! Awesome atmosphere it was... Chheda, Malay, Kuldeep, Siddharth, Mota bhai, Ganesh, Sudip, Aman, Harsha, Satya, and yours truly!
Well, how's that for a glimpse of the quizzing culture prevalent at IMT? B)

The last leg...
I'm surprised my dead-blog hasn't been cremated till now :P
Was shying away from typing anything here thinking that it'll take up a lot of time. But yesterday when I discovered I was shortlisted for a competition and I had to type out a 250 words long brief in less than 20 minutes, I realized typing is not much of a pain :)
Oh well! What's the pain in typing in a few lines a few times a week?!
Plus, I have that pending blog on our Leh trip which everyone's been bugging me about :) Coming up soon!
P.S.: Placement season all set to begin at IMT... the atmosphere is sombre to say the least! *fingers and toes crossed*
