Building a nest...
Now I know what a bird building its nest feels like!
It has got to be painstaking - bringing in strands of straw, grass, plant fiber et al one by one, and then meticulously weaving them together!
Building a home is no joke.
But enervating though it is, the exercise is such a pleasure!
Surely 30 days down the line, we'll look back on all that we've managed to do with the place and sigh with pleasure :)
It's kinda nice to notice how barely 2 weeks ago, I used to return home tired like crazy with not an ounce of energy to do anything... and these days I'm brimming with energy till the time I hit the sack! :D
Being so much enthusiastic is typical of me... glad that I've rediscovered myself.
Again, I hope that it lasts... not many good things do :(
The past 2 days have been simply awesome:
Sleeping so very comfortably despite the absence of coolers, a/c, proper beds...
Feeling fresh and energetic in the mornings!
The non-stop bakar on the way to office... it's always a competition of die-hard speakers :P
The long ride spent humming favorite numbers.
The stupid anxiety over whether we locked the front door, or left it ajar thanks to all our bakar (Damn! Yesterday whole day at office, the both of us were fearing the worst... luckily we had locked it :p)
The long days at office that seem to be getting over much faster as compared to before... :)
The eagerness to get back home and go shopping (and to think of it, I used to hate shopping!)
The checking out new places to have dinner... that dhabha across Sohna Road was nice!
Riding into South City 2 for some late night shopping (either for cold drinks or an ice cream), parking the bike in the market, and taking looooong walks... just like the Pune days!
And we walk like crazy, A and I... yesterday we walked for 90 minutes, catching up on each others' lives... it's a sheer pleasure taking a walk on the well-lit yet deserted tree-lined streets of SC2, with the sexy breeze blowing...
The return to the flat, gazing at the night lights from the balcony, then ironing, polishing and getting stuff ready for the next day...
After taking a shower and cross ventilating the place, the tiredness suddenly hits... time for niinii!
Save for the initial drinking water problems and the overzealous barbers (damn! I told him to keep it medium and he reduced it to spikes! No bothering about combing my hair for a long time now :p), everything has worked out better than expected.
Next up, second "first salary" (as Lavanya puts it)!
And lots of fun with friends...
Cheers!!!
P.S. Dear Indifferent Stupid Donkey, H5A! Hope you're doing good...

Fireflies
You would not believe your eyes if ten million fireflies light up the world as I fell asleep...

Destination: AWHO
Q: What does a man want at the end of a thoroughly exhausting day at work, not to mention normal days?
A: To go home to the place, which he has been longing for since the moment he left it earlier in the day.
Glad to say that L1106 has become that place already! :)
Whole day long I kept thinking when o when will I get to go back there, take a shower, and then head for the beautiful park! sighs
Yesterday, our first night at the new place was pretty eventful!
All that roaming around (Wazirabad, Sec 56, Mayfield Garden, South City 2) before reaching home, the mismatched timings!
Then you can't even roam around semi-nude in your own home because the place is an open-air theatre, literally speaking! :P
Top priority: purchase curtains to drape the plethora of windows!!
Now where to have dinner? South City 2, it seems, has only restaurants... no dhabhas or normal eateries... ouch, so much for the budget if we continue this way...
Plus drinking water is going to be a grave issue till the weekend... we finished off half-a-dozen mineral water bottles last night itself :O
And then, running into familiar faces! I'm dead sure it was him :P
Next up: running into you?! ;)
Spent a long long time sprawled out on the deserted lawns, staring up at the sky! Ahhh this is the life!!
Kinda loved it when there was a power cut while I was lying down there... total darkness!
Then the view from my balcony was the sexiest sight ever... thousands of lights dotting the landscape, starting from the adjacent B block of South City 2 till the horizon ♥
(will upload the picha soon)
Would miss my favorite daily night routine, but will ensure that it resumes soon :)
For once, I felt that tiredness is a virtue!
Opened all the balcony doors (woah! the sexy cross ventilation!!), and hit the sack at midnight! Sleep never took over so quickly...
A new chapter in life... To say that I'm loving it would be quite an understatement ;)
Ciao!

L1106 :))))
The time is 3:30 PM.
It's hot like crazy, the sun mercilessly beating down on us poor living beings.
The tar roads of Delhi, the heavy traffic and the pollution on this sweltering summer day = quite a deadly combo!
I'm totally jaded... 400 odd kms of biking in 3 days in such crazy weather was expected to take its toll...
The dry lips. That slight dizziness. The feeling that I'm done for it... This is it!!
And then the sudden realization of what awaits me at the end of this journey! Selfishness is sometimes a life-saver :)
That sudden surge in the energy levels... the broad smile, and the sexy progress thereafter!
Sorry dear sunstroke, today ain't your day, it's mine... maybe later...
I missed out on the house hunt part when in Pune... no wonder it was a complete shocker of an experience!
Last night I was too tired to do anything! Wanted to lie down on the parapet on the 4th floor of the library building... chucked the plan.
Slept like a baby after closing the deal last night... reliefff! The leave on Monday won't be a waste after all :)
Early morning... again! Packing up finally!
Thank God switching off the discharged phone helped it retain some charge... a miracle of sorts! :P
The harried round of phone calls!
To Noida and back. Ouch.
A heavy lunch.
The small little cab. My truckloads of saamaan! Quite a mismatch :P
Oh well! We're pros at stuffing it all in!!
Bbye A-41. Felt bad leaving ya unlocked before walking away... you weren't just a room, you were my sanctuary...
The loooong ride. My almost broken back. My swirling head.
Yet the hunger, the haste to get it done with. NOW!
The moving in process :D
The dallying. The bureaucracy. Putting the foot down.
The signing of the documents. The money changing hands!
We're officially the tenants of L1106!! High-five!!!!!!!!!!!!
The staying back to decide on the rooms... and the balconies! A mandatory exercise considering the fact that there are 4 bedrooms and 6 balconies at stake here :D
The place is soooo beautiful!! The view from the 11th floor makes you go maamaamiiiaaaa!!
Can't wait to start living here... and playing the guitar while sitting on the balcony, staring out at the night lights of South City 2!
Seeing off Anand... dude, what would I do without you :)
Staying back and sitting on the AWHO lawns; watching the plethora of colors; the numerous kiddies running around, giggling, laughing... old grandparents playing mentors :) Young couples strolling about, some with their little babies in the prams! Awww!
Called up loved ones for conveying the good news... all but one...
I really found the place I wanted all along... it's somewhere I belong!
Just the place to return to after long days at work :)
Tomorrow will be the first of many such days... *sighsss*
Raced back to Dhaula Kuan after a quick stop at the block B market...
Human instincts are fascinating... though I was seeing everything on the road, nothing was registering save for the plethora of red hazy lights... my mind was meandering somewhere far away!
Yet, the application of the breaks, the clutch-gear shift sync, the maneuvering, all happened automatically as and when required!
Respect! :P
Felt like shit when I entered home. But contenT to the T!!
The extended weekend was the longest that I've ever experienced, the craziest and most hectic too... but most importantly, the most satisfying!!! :)))))
A cold water shower never ever made me feel so human :P
And it's such a pleasure getting pampered! Gonna miss this part the most :)
Sexy news towards the end of the day... woohoooooo!
It was expected, but still hearing it felt like a dream come true... :)
Seeeee, I told ya you would... you're made for this! Congrats ;)
Fingers and toes crossed for what's next up!!!
Monday blues? Today there were many different shades... blue I guess didn't find a place in the palette!
Back to work with gusto tomorrow...
No net for a while. Let's see how welcome this break is...
Cheersss! :)

Good-gaon!!
First impression: Concrete jungle.
Current impression: Whatta place!!!
Rode through a place called South City 2...
Had heard lots about it, but I had no idea that it was so huge... and so beautiful!
Pestered my broker to take me to an occupied house at, as late as, 8 PM!! That the family was too good to entertain me and give me words of wisdom about the place is another story :)
But my dream residence, for now, will be at a place called Army Welfare Housing Organisation. And somewhere up in the sky, at a place where there are 3 balconies at least!
It's funny how AWHO wasn't a place that I was going to ever consider, it being a bit far off and all, but I had just jotted down the name after seeing a pic on the net! And surprise surprise, it's the only place that seems to have remained uncrossed on my original list after 2 weeks :D
Fell in love with the view from that 4th floor apartment at AWHO... Gurgaon isn't the concrete jungle that I thought it was...
Checked out over 10 houses today! Now this is what house hunting is all about...
Oh well! Time to sleep now... the bed beckons!
Long long weekend up ahead... not the kinda long I prefer though :|
Happy weekend, folks :)
