L1106 :))))
The time is 3:30 PM.
It's hot like crazy, the sun mercilessly beating down on us poor living beings.
The tar roads of Delhi, the heavy traffic and the pollution on this sweltering summer day = quite a deadly combo!
I'm totally jaded... 400 odd kms of biking in 3 days in such crazy weather was expected to take its toll...
The dry lips. That slight dizziness. The feeling that I'm done for it... This is it!!
And then the sudden realization of what awaits me at the end of this journey! Selfishness is sometimes a life-saver :)
That sudden surge in the energy levels... the broad smile, and the sexy progress thereafter!
Sorry dear sunstroke, today ain't your day, it's mine... maybe later...
I missed out on the house hunt part when in Pune... no wonder it was a complete shocker of an experience!
Last night I was too tired to do anything! Wanted to lie down on the parapet on the 4th floor of the library building... chucked the plan.
Slept like a baby after closing the deal last night... reliefff! The leave on Monday won't be a waste after all :)
Early morning... again! Packing up finally!
Thank God switching off the discharged phone helped it retain some charge... a miracle of sorts! :P

The staying back to decide on the rooms... and the balconies! A mandatory exercise considering the fact that there are 4 bedrooms and 6 balconies at stake here :D

Staying back and sitting on the AWHO lawns; watching the plethora of colors; the numerous kiddies running around, giggling, laughing... old grandparents playing mentors :) Young couples strolling about, some with their little babies in the prams! Awww!
Called up loved ones for conveying the good news... all but one...
I really found the place I wanted all along... it's somewhere I belong!
Just the place to return to after long days at work :)
Tomorrow will be the first of many such days... *sighsss*
Raced back to Dhaula Kuan after a quick stop at the block B market...
Human instincts are fascinating... though I was seeing everything on the road, nothing was registering save for the plethora of red hazy lights... my mind was meandering somewhere far away!
Yet, the application of the breaks, the clutch-gear shift sync, the maneuvering, all happened automatically as and when required!
Respect! :P
Felt like shit when I entered home. But contenT to the T!!
The extended weekend was the longest that I've ever experienced, the craziest and most hectic too... but most importantly, the most satisfying!!! :)))))
A cold water shower never ever made me feel so human :P
And it's such a pleasure getting pampered! Gonna miss this part the most :)
Sexy news towards the end of the day... woohoooooo!
It was expected, but still hearing it felt like a dream come true... :)

Monday Bloody Monday... almost!
Sleepless night.
Early morning. Baddd news. All that work down the drain :x
Last minute work.
The race to Noida.

Glad to be leaving UP for good...

Loooong ride! Feeling like myself... forgetting the bad stuff ain't that difficult.
The prickly heat. Thank God for the good company... you tend to become oblivious to everything ;)
Bad news again! Shucks. Am I 'bad news' attracting magnet?!
South Delhi. MG road. Gurgaon.
DLF City Phase 3. Yucky houses. But then the proximity :|
A bit of kicking around. Broken glasses.

Then back to the place I fell in love with of late.

I sold the society to Anand; then I sold "us" to the landlords.
Long long day. Nothing confirm.
That chance encounter on the lift. The beautiful house. The instant high! Somewhere I belong!!
Then another set of conditions :s

We: Let's do it... the world be damned :))
The lucky call to that broker.
The chance encounter with the gossip-monger... the challenge!
The sales process again!
The wait. The crossed fingers, toes and what not!
The beautiful apartment!!! Mamamia!!!!
The showdown. The thorough background check.
Complete transparency... despite the brokers' urging.
The vacillations. The indecisiveness. The sincerity. The candidness.
The decision.
Closing the deal. That firm shake of hands.
The crazy urge to cry. The euphoria.
The blank state of the mind when standing way above the world and staring out at the city's twinkling lights :)
It's done. We have a place to call our home :D
Things taking time to sink in. SIGHS!
The maddening joy overriding the intense frustration and the crazy depression that ruled during the day...
Love the Delhi roads at night. My one hand became a temporary wing, flapping every now and then! Woohoo!

Back on campus. The bath. The quick dinner.
The discharged phone. The broken charger :((((
Thank God for the only positive thing in the day... it was all that I had wanted.
The fatigue. Totally wasted. The jumping into bed.

Back to the future!
Suddenly it struck me that 35 years down the line when I retire, I wont have to bother about finding things to keep myself busy!
Lots of stuff from the archives (be it from gmail, gtalk, fb, blogger, diaries, photo albums et al) to indulge in for, at least, the first couple of months :P
Woohoo! So much for answering the question related to looong-term plans!!
Things fell into place beautifully today evening onwards...
Feels awesome to have a wonderful boss... you rock, PB sir!
After a 15 hours long day spent in the office, 10 hours seem like a cakewalk! :))
The house hunt till now might not be in vain... depending on you, AK!!
Somehow I feel that the days are too short... why can't we have 48 hours long days?!
But then, who needs so many hours when you can live a lifetime in a few minutes... :)
Anyway, early to bed today... bonnuit tout le monde! :)

Good-gaon!!
First impression: Concrete jungle.
Current impression: Whatta place!!!
Rode through a place called South City 2...
Had heard lots about it, but I had no idea that it was so huge... and so beautiful!
Pestered my broker to take me to an occupied house at, as late as, 8 PM!! That the family was too good to entertain me and give me words of wisdom about the place is another story :)
But my dream residence, for now, will be at a place called Army Welfare Housing Organisation. And somewhere up in the sky, at a place where there are 3 balconies at least!
It's funny how AWHO wasn't a place that I was going to ever consider, it being a bit far off and all, but I had just jotted down the name after seeing a pic on the net! And surprise surprise, it's the only place that seems to have remained uncrossed on my original list after 2 weeks :D
Fell in love with the view from that 4th floor apartment at AWHO... Gurgaon isn't the concrete jungle that I thought it was...
Checked out over 10 houses today! Now this is what house hunting is all about...
Oh well! Time to sleep now... the bed beckons!
Long long weekend up ahead... not the kinda long I prefer though :|

One day at a time...
This one's not going to become a rut... it's too dynamic and exciting for that to happen :)
And I so love busy days over hectic days...
Today turned out to be a long day... started off awesomely and ended well... I didn't mind that rework followed by the re-rework a bit :D
And to think of it, I was sooo keen on a sales job! Marketing rocks!!!
Love seeing some people being themselves... so wish that, now and then, I get to isolate them from their stupid daily life tensions...
With all the house hunt mania in the air, I've kinda taken a penchant for Saket! Whatta place! *Whistles*
Any pointers on Saket are most welcome!
Vasant Kunj and Chattarpur are ruled out...
If I thought that the week was a busy one, Sunday is gonna be a notch busier from the looks of it... got to check out lots of houses, mainly a really cool apartment in Gurgaon... fully furnished, A/C, Fridge (yippeee :D), Power backup et al... and the complete package at a very nominal rate!
Oh well, just 4 days of worklife - part 2, and I feel so experienced! :p
Kevin's dad in The Wonder Years when asked, "How was work?", used to reply "Work is work"... I
don't want to reach that stage anytime soon!
