Confrontations

Yet another face-off, albeit a virtual one.
As usual, a stupid issue.
The unexpected call. That strained yet sweet voice and my seemingly indifferent tone.
Hanging onto every syllable as if it was the last you'd ever hear from the other side.
The recounting, recollection, trading accusations, sighing and then the silence.
So many unsaid words dangling in the air, annoyingly close, yet so hard to reach out to them and make them mine.
Silence speaks louder than words, they say... how very true.
That contrast.
Echoing feelings could make things so much better but ego plays spoilsport.
You feel vulnerable about sharing your exact thoughts? So do I.
Thank God you shed your inhibitons and alluded to, if not expressed, the real thing.
You feel sheepish now? Having second thoughts? Don't... please.
If I'm glad about the fact that we're so alike, I'm gladder about the subtle differences.
Imagine being stuck in a deadlock?
The end to the drama is sweet, as it always is. It's another matter how closely-spaced such instances are.
Talk about new starts and the accompanying sense of rejuvenation. Aren't we taking things for granted? Whatever.
Joy rides are fun, but you tend to get tired of them in a while. And then after checking out the other mundane rides, you definitely miss the roller-coaster.
What say we live for the moment, not bother about the future, forget about the past? Easier said than done, I'm afraid.

Anyway, the reason behind all those coincidences...
A reason for all that I do...
A reason to start over new...
And the reason is you :)

Enough said... let's roll.
