Ain't no sunshine when she's gone...
Fridays somehow seem never-ending when you know that you'll be working on the next day too :|
And then, after talking to someone very special who's going away for a few days, focusing on anything was quite impossible...
How come when you're with me, time flies by and refuses to stand still? And when you're not around, time simply halts in its tracks?!
Tuesday and Wednesday were just like a mock test... the real test begins today!
Hope you have an amazing time! Needless to say, I'll miss you heaps... come back sooon :)
Never anticipated anything being in store for today evening... last minute reunion plans courtesy DK and Chautala did the trick!
We, the DA-IICT bakarbaaz gang thought of watching the World Cup match at some place, but that didn't happen... nonetheless, the evening worked out pretty well!
Instead we did tp at DLF City Ph. 3.
Huge gathering at DK's place: Khurana, DK, Anand, Ankit, Prabhakar, Sandy, Khosla and I... indulged in crazzyyy bakar.
Did a nightout of sorts playing cards, DA-IICT style! lmao total fun it was :D
Let's see what happens on Saturday...
Zipping past the Gurgaon landmarks at the break of dawn was an amazing experience... the city does sleep :)
Back home, just wishing for the next 5 days to get over as quickly as possible! Thank God for the World Cup... it'll definitely help speed up time!!

Avei bakar
Hearing my 6 year-old cousin reciting the Mathematical tables, I was just wondering how we all recite the sequence of products:
2*1=2 => Two One zaa Two
2*2=4 => Two Two zaa Four
2*3=6 => Two Three zaa Six
When did we start speaking Parseltongue instead of simply saying "equals to"?! :P
Finally a looong weekend, but it's gonna be very very hectic!

Leaving on a jet plane...
Whatta day!
First a mini party at Mathur's room with Bhanja and Sumant...
Then the sexy party with fellow B1ers at Blues in Connaught Place! lml
Dunno everything was perfect in the evening, but somehow I just wasn't present there mentally for a long time...
The high-tension IPL grand finale, the drinks, the yummy chow, the nice and loud music, the brilliant light effects, good friends: how's that for an apt setting for a fun-filled evening?!
As usual, I became the popat... I had dropped my bike at Anand Vihar, and had come till CP via metro. And at 9:30, I realized that the metro will not be running when the match gets over... :s
So off I rush to AV to fetch my bike... that speedy bike ride back to CP was all that I needed to think properly...
The Mumbai Indians played pathetic cricket today. And watching Sachin welcoming a wrong decision by the umpire when he was clearly out was a shock... so much for him being God.
Funny thing was that even though I supported CSK today, the won. :P
As a dear friend told me, I probably supported them half-heartedly. Hell yeah :(
Anyway the looong conversation with Sid, Jaggi, Manish and Chandu was total bhasad! I sooo wanted to join them for this bakar party... plus I've pampered them so much that they can't seem to click photographs of their parties :P
Loooong loooong chat with someone till early in the morning... maybe it's just a matter of 5 days, plus we'll be in touch for sure, but the distance will be palpable... :(
Will michhaaaa truckloads, kiddo.

Goodbye blue sky... again!
Whatta day!
Right now I'm carrying a friggin' heavy bag of mixed emotions (someone's apt version of mixed bag of emotions :D)
If I thought that yesterday was a tiring day, today was when I was drained out emotionally... just want my Mumma's lap more than anything else...
Everything happens for the best, they say... how come not most of what happened today was in sync with that!
Anyway, it's almost early morning and I'm replying to long and lovely personal emails that I received today... in this age of automated mails et al, how nice it feels to trade feelings and emotions on a one-on-one basis with people :)
Just sitting here at my laptop, so tired yet so sleepless, sooo nostalgic, with those salty water beads just pouring down my cheeks... I so hate myself at times... feeling like a well-blended mixture of a wuss and a crybaby :P
Reminiscing about the plethora of interviews that I've appeared for till date (despite my selective sign-ups!)
I loved some of the personalities who've interviewed me of late. These were interviews where you can tell that a person wants to know the real you... that the interviewer appreciates the fact that you're being yourself rather than giving you marks for parroting off something you read somewhere...
In one company that will always be close to my heart, the 2 ladies interviewing me quizzed me on my weakness. I frankly told them, "Ma'ms, I've realized that my biggest weakness is that I can't live with myself, a fact that my Mother knew before my realizing it!! I'm comfortable only when I'm with someone or in a group of friends, but when I'm alone I'm totally lost... the last 3 weeks have been a reality check of sorts."
The way they looked at me dumbstruck, then at each other, then their giggles, and then the selection for the 2nd round of interviews, I knew that my answer must've reeked of honesty :))
In the middle of another interview, the dude sitting across the desk asked me rather informally (informal considering his sexy designation in the awesome company), "Toh kabhi socha hai 5 saal baad kya kar rahe hoge life me?", and I, never the one to fake an answer, replied, "No sir... kaafi hazy sa hai... I just want to be happy and be doing something challenging...".
His awesome reply made me believe that genuine replies do strike a chord sometimes... :)
I firmly believe that bagging a job is all about portraying yourself truly, just like it should be in the case of searching for the perfect match... if some company, or person, accepts you for who you are, and vice versa, believe me there's no looking back... ;)
It's another matter that this stupid logic of mine kept me waiting for sooo long... but the wait is always worth it ♥
Yesterday was bad... hope my mood swings haven't take a heavy toll *fingers crossed*
Busy day today... as are all days till the Sabbath! Lots and lots to do!
Just hope I manage to do all that I want to... Murphy be damned! :P
Planning to wind up my blog soon... no more diary too!
Enough already... time to move on...

Some Dayzzz
Sleepy day!
Slept for over 10 hours... and for once, I managed to remember a dream... if only! :)
The discussion with Khemka over lunch about "hanging in there for a while" (especially crucial considering the fact that we've waited it out this long) and not losing confidence was something... matters much more now that our lobbies are empty, and just a few folks can be seen around campus :(
Must remember: No pain, no gain!!
Also a realization dawned that due to my frustration, I was making my parents suffer... totally unwittingly, but I knew that my sourpuss-ness might be rubbing off on them :(
So called them up when I was as I normally am... cheerful! :)
Partied with Punti, Rishabh and Jaggi... totally awesome time!
We guys had lotsa fun... I'm totally stuffed with imarti, samosas, garlic bread and pizza!
Was expecting a call the entire day today, and was so worried that it didn't come...
But thank God it came when I least expected it... avei happy happy :)
Time to clean out my closet... no wonder I'm feeling so tired :P
Plus the relaxed feeling after the cold water shower... time for some procrastination!
Off to bed in a while... jamming on the guitar like a maniac till then!!
And off to Delhi tomorrow... as usual, it has got me excited ;)
Waiting to meet my parents soon... will miss Sweety at the convo though :(
