The drudgeries of life

It's kind of funny how easily you can get detached from people you're so very close to, or from things that you indulged in once upon a time... Before you know it, it's a thing of the past, and you somehow don't even find the time to think about the folks and the things who and which, respectively, played an important part in your daily routine some time back! And suddenly, one fine day, out of the blue, it hits you... ghosts from the past! Take this for instance: You call your friend just for enquiring about something... matter of factly, you ask, "So wazzup, dude?" and he replies, "Nothing! Just Bloggging!". When you hang up, there's this nagging feeling about that reply being a part of your conversations ages ago and how all of a sudden, without any fanfare, you just let go of it... Gosh! I wonder how many such happenings are yet to be discovered this way!

A lot has happened in the past 10 months that I haven't posted... the most noteworthy are the end of college life and the beginning of work life, earning (and spending *sniff*) your own moolah, an awesome 4-month long training at Infosys, Mysore, getting posted to Pune and the venture into the cruel corporate world, moving into our own house, enjoying "work" life, the New Year, 2007, the college convocation, meeting old friends, some after months while others after years, etc. Cherished memories, all of them! I wonder why I never went one step beyond jotting them down on paper... But I guess everyone's down with the same symptoms... hard to find many who'd qualify as regular out here! Work life does this to you, I suppose.

For the last time, I motivate myself... "Hang in there"!!
